Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How much does it cost to join Smart Credits?
A. Enrollment in the Smart Credits training program is a one-time payment of $197. There are no hidden fees or subscriptions — just a single payment that gives you the clarity, strategy, and support to start earning college credits the smart way.

Q. How long will I have access to the Smart Credits training and community?
A. You’ll have one full year (365 days) of access to both the Smart Credits training program and the Insider Community from your date of enrollment. That means you can revisit lessons, tools, and resources anytime you need a refresher — and continue connecting with other students as you apply what you’ve learned throughout the year. It’s designed to support your journey well beyond the initial training, so you can keep building momentum at your own pace.

Q. How long does the program take to complete?
A. The Smart Credits training program is comprised of 7 chapters (21 step-by-step lessons). Most students complete the training in just a few hours — but the impact lasts much longer. Once you understand how the system works, you can start building your personalized strategy right away and begin earning credits on your own schedule.

Q. Will this work for my college or university?
A. Smart Credits doesn’t offer a one-size-fits-all plan — and that’s exactly why it works. You’ll learn how to research your school’s transfer policies and match them with trusted credit options, so the plan you build is tailored to your degree, not someone else’s. Explore the Program →

Q. What kind of credits can I earn?
A. The training covers three main options: exam-based credit, self-paced online courses, and credit for previous learning or experience. Each method is backed by widely accepted academic credit systems and designed to help you save both time and money while still earning real transferable credit.

Q. Do I need to be enrolled in college?
A. Not at all. In fact, many students use Smart Credits before enrolling or transferring — to avoid wasting time on credits that won’t count later. Whether you’re preparing to return to school, starting fresh, or helping someone else plan, the earlier you learn this strategy, the better.

Q. Is this legit?
A. Yes — and it’s built entirely around legitimate, credit-eligible pathways that have already helped thousands of students graduate faster. You won’t find shortcuts, fake diplomas, or shady providers here. We focus on what actually works — and what colleges are already accepting.

Q. What if I have questions while going through it?
A. You’ll have access to our private member community where you can ask questions, share wins, and get support from both the Smart Credits team and other students. You’re never on your own — and if your question is more personal or specific, you can always reach out directly.

Please note: Smart Credits does not include 1:1 coaching. Your enrollment gives you access to the complete on-demand training, the Smart Credits Companion, community support, and live events — so you’ll always have the guidance and tools you need, even without private sessions.

Q. Will I still need to talk to my college advisor?
A. Yes — and you’ll be better prepared for that meeting than most students. The program helps you walk into those conversations with a clear strategy, key questions to ask, and a stronger sense of what’s possible. Most advisors are happy to help when you come in with a plan.

Q. Can I use this to help my child plan college?
A. Absolutely. The program was designed with both students and parents in mind. Whether your child is homeschooled, college-bound, or unsure where to begin, Smart Credits gives you the clarity and confidence to help them start strong and make every credit count.

Q. What is the FAFSA?
A. The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is the form that determines your eligibility for grants, loans, and other financial aid. Even if you're trying to avoid student loans, it’s important to fill it out each year — and Smart Credits can help you reduce the amount of aid you need by cutting credit costs upfront.

Q. Is it worth going into debt for a college degree?
A. That depends on what you study — and how much you pay. Some degrees offer strong job prospects and high earnings, while others don’t justify the cost. The Smart Credits approach helps you reduce your total college costs and avoid overpaying, so your education is an investment — not a burden.
